Frequently
Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQ page. Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our personalized Ayahuasca retreats in the Amazon jungle of Putumayo, Colombia. We’ve designed this page to help you prepare, feel safe, and understand what makes Wanay Community a unique and powerful space for healing and transformation.

While we don’t enforce a strict dieta, we strongly recommend some preparation guidelines that can help deepen your connection with the medicine and show respect for your healing journey.
At least 1 week before your arrival:

  • Avoid all recreational drugs (including marijuana, cocaine, etc.).
  • Stop consuming alcohol.
  • Minimize caffeine and stimulants.
  • Reduce intake of processed foods, refined sugar, salt, and animal fats.

Incorporating mindfulness practices such as meditation, yoga, or journaling can also support emotional and mental readiness. Most importantly, please inform us of any medications you’re currently taking. We will consult with our medical specialist to ensure your safety during the retreat.

At Wanay Community, we offer a flexible and personalized retreat experience. You are not required to follow a fixed program. Instead, you can choose which ceremonies to attend based on how you feel and what you need day by day.
Our facilitators will guide you and suggest specific medicines or practices that support your unique process. This approach encourages deep self-awareness and empowers you to take an active role in your healing journey. Unlike rigid retreat structures, our model allows you to listen to your intuition and say “yes” to ceremonies when it truly feels right.

Yes. Our minimum stay is 7 days, which provides enough time for at least 2–3 ceremonies and integration. If you can’t stay the full 15 days, you can join us for a shorter or longer period depending on availability.
We are flexible with arrival and departure dates, so your retreat officially begins the day you arrive. If you’re interested in staying for 3 weeks or longer, please contact us directly to check availability and receive detailed guidance for extended stays.

Integration is a key part of the healing journey. After ceremonies, we offer both group and individual integration sessions where you can share your experiences and receive feedback and support.
These conversations help you make sense of your inner journey and translate insights into meaningful actions in your everyday life. Integration circles are held in a safe, confidential, and respectful environment.

We keep our retreats small and intimate, with a maximum of 8 participants per group. This allows us to provide personalized attention, ensure safety, and create a space of trust and deep connection between everyone involved.
